FAQs
What is the difference between ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 for manufacturing?
ISO 9001 is the generic quality management standard applicable to all industries. IATF 16949 is the automotive-sector specific standard, built on ISO 9001 with additional automotive-specific requirements. If you supply to automotive OEMs, you typically need IATF 16949; ISO 9001 alone is not sufficient.
Can a manufacturing plant get ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in one audit?
Yes. An Integrated Management System (IMS) audit combines all three standards in a single audit cycle, significantly reducing cost and management time. We design and implement IMS programs specifically for manufacturing organizations.
How does ISO 14001 certification help a manufacturing plant in India?
ISO 14001 demonstrates that your plant has a structured Environmental Management System — reducing regulatory risk under CPCB and state pollution control board requirements, improving ESG ratings and meeting buyer sustainability requirements.
Is ISO 45001 replacing OHSAS 18001 in India?
Yes. OHSAS 18001 was officially withdrawn in 2021 and replaced by ISO 45001:2018. All OHSAS 18001 certificates are now invalid. We help manufacturers transition to ISO 45001 quickly with minimal disruption.
